Mt Hutt hosts a National Points Slalom race as part of SSNZ's National series. Athletes race down the course and through the gates, on this technical course tight turns are key to a successful race. 

Athletes registered with Snowsports NZ compete in this national series to gain points towards their national ranking.  Athletes can compare their times and points to other competitive athletes around New Zealand.

National Point events are for any U14 to Senior Snow Sports New Zealand registered Athletes, including Slalom & Giant Slalom disciplines. National points are allocated to each competitor and are added to the national Points list. The national points list is produced at the start of every new season and is available on the Snow Sports New Zealand website.
