The 2025 Championships for Race event scheduled for the 6th September with the Slopestyle scheduled for the 7th. Best weather day to be chosen and may compress events to same day.

Online entries will open on Monday 21st July, and close at 5pm on Monday 1st September. Entries from South Island schools will be given priority for entry from 21st to
27th July. Entries for schools from the North Island will be opened on Monday 28th July, and will be subject to availability.

A late fee of $10 per competitor will be
applied for entries received after the closing time/date. We strongly encourage no late entries but may be accepted at the discretion of the race director.  

Students must be under the age of 19 years as 1 January 2025 and fulfil the eligibility criteria for competition in secondary school sport as defined by the NZSSS Council. Students in Years 7 & 8 are not eligible to participate. The School Sport New Zealand policy on the entry of composite teams will apply. Entries will be accepted from schools which are not partner schools of the School Sport New
Zealand, but these teams will not be eligible to win trophies or other awards or be recognised in the final rankings of this South Island Secondary Schools event.

Helmets are COMPULSORY for all competitors. Race suits can only be worn under race shorts / pants and jackets. 

FEES: $40.00 per competitor

This fee does not include a lift pass, lift passes can be purchased at the following rates:

​​Child (aged 15 and under on the 1 st June 2025): $57.50 per day
Adult: $87.50 per day (DOES NOT INCLUDE FIRST TRACKS)
Coaches: 1 free coach for every 6 athletes. For teams with less than 6 competitors, lift tickets
will be $87.50 per day.

Chill passes will not be accepted for discount.
