What ability levels are lessons suitable for?

Lessons are available for all ability levels, from complete beginners through to advanced skiers and riders.

Beginners can learn the fundamentals in a supportive environment, while intermediate and advanced guests can refine technique, build confidence on steeper terrain or work on more specialised skills. Private lessons and performance camps are particularly popular for experienced riders looking to progress further.

Should I choose a group lesson or a private lesson?

Group lessons are a great option if you’re learning the basics or progressing alongside others at a similar level. They’re social, structured and a good way to build confidence on the mountain.

Private lessons offer a more personalised experience, with one-on-one coaching or small group sessions tailored specifically to you. They’re ideal if you want to progress faster, focus on specific skills, explore more of the mountain or learn together with family or friends.

Should I book in advance?

Yes, booking ahead is recommended. Lessons can be in high demand during weekends and school holidays, so reserving your package or lesson early helps secure your spot.

Rentals are not available to book in advance and are issued on a first in, first served basis. However, you can save time by purchasing your rental products online in advance, collecting your MyPass card from Guest Services or our Kiosks then head in to see our Rentals team on the mountain who will get you fitted and ready for a fun day on the snow.

How do instructors keep lessons safe?

Our Snowsports team is made up of certified professionals with top-tier training. Every lesson is structured to match your ability, comfort level, and conditions on the day. We start with clear safety briefings, keep group sizes manageable, and focus on steady progression - from first balance to first carve.

You'll also learn the Snow Responsibility Code along the way, so you're not just riding better, but riding with awareness of others on the mountain.
