Yes. Mt Hutt offers several lift pass options that work well for families, depending on everyone’s experience level and how you plan to spend the day.
For families with a mix of abilities, Superpass is often a great option. It gives you full lift access at Mt Hutt, with the added flexibility to use the value of the pass for a range of dining, activities and experiences across Canterbury. It’s a good choice if some of the family plan to ski all day while others might want the flexibility to do something different.
If you’re skiing with younger children, the Parent Pass can be a really handy option. It allows two parents to share one lift pass, taking turns skiing while the other stays with the kids. It’s a practical way for both parents to enjoy time on the mountain.
For families with beginners, the Learner Area Pass provides lift access to the beginner terrain so new skiers and snowboarders can build confidence without needing a full mountain pass straight away.
Between these options, families can mix and match passes to suit their day on the mountain. If you’re unsure which combination will work best, our team is always happy to help.
It depends on how you’re planning to spend your day on the mountain.
If you’re looking for the most flexibility, Superpass is a popular choice. It gives you access to skiing or riding at Mt Hutt, The Remarkables or Coronet Peak with the option to exchange your pass for a range of experiences across Canterbury & Queenstown if your plans change. From dining to hot pools and local activities. It’s a great option if you want to keep your plans flexible.
If you’re keen to make the most of the mountain from the first lift, the First Tracks & Day Pass includes early morning access and a full day on the slopes.
Short on time? The Afternoon Pass is ideal if you’re arriving later in the day and still want to get a few good laps in.
For those just starting out, the Learner Area Pass provides lift access to the beginner area so you can focus on building confidence on the snow.
If you’re unsure which option suits your plans best, our team can help point you in the right direction.
Yes. The Learner Area Pass is designed for guests who are new to skiing or snowboarding. It provides surface convayor lift access to the beginner areas, making it a more affordable option while you’re learning the basics.
Booking online in advance is recommended, particularly during weekends and school holidays. This helps secure your spot and means less time waiting once you arrive.
Due to limited beginner terrain during First Tracks hours and no lessons running at this time, First Tracks is best suited to intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders. It’s ideal for riders who are confident linking turns and ready to make the most of fresh corduroy before the crowds arrive. Lift access and open terrain are weather dependent, so check the daily snow report before heading up.
