This is the first event of its kind ever held at Mt Hutt!

Hutt has been a huge catchment of NZ skiers for many generations.We are stoked to bring you the first stop on the Junior tour.

Come watch some of NZ's best rippers send it down towers. This event is designed to add pathways for up and coming athletes and give those more versed the much needed competition experience.

Categories include Men / Female Ski or Snowboard

U15, U17, U19.

What is the Free ride Tour?

‍

Open to junior skiers and snowboarders across several age categories.

Competitors are judged on:

Line selection
Technique
Control
Fluidity
Style and energy
Use of terrain features such as cliffs, chutes, and natural jumps

Athletes accumulate points across tour stops, with overall champions crowned at the end of the season.
