On 3 & 4 October, we’re shouting out our local communities with some tidy Locals Day deals at Mt Hutt: $50 Lift Passes, $25 Rentals and $150 Lift, Lesson & Rental Packages.

Chasing spring laps? Keen to give skiing or snowboarding a crack? Either way, there’s a pretty good excuse to head up your mountain.

How do I verify my local status?

Purchased your Locals Day offer? Next up, we’ll need to verify you’re a local.

Simply email proof that you’ve lived in the designated local area for at least 3 months to [email protected], or bring it along to Guest Services on the mountain and our team will get you sorted.

This could be a utility bill, letter of offer from your employer, or an addressed bank statement.

Once verified, your Locals Day product will be ready to use. Already have a MyPass card? You’re good to go. Need a pass? Scan your product QR code at a MyPass kiosk on-Mountian to print one.

Who qualifies for Locals Day?

Locals Day is for residents who have lived in the local area for at least 3 months.

Local area for the Queenstown Lake District includes: Queenstown, Arrowtown, Gibbston Valley, Glenorchy, Kingston, Wanaka, Tarras, Cromwell, Clyde, Alexandra, Hawea and Makarora.

Local area for Mt Hutt includes: All residents living between the Rakaia and Rangitata rivers. E.g. Ashburton, Methven, Rakaia, Hinds, Mt Sommers.

You’ll need to show proof of residency when redeeming the offer, such as a utility bill, letter of offer from your employer, or an addressed bank statement.

To receive this offer, you must show proof to validate that you have lived in the designated locals area at least 3 months (e.g. utility bill, letter of offer from your employer, an addressed statement from your bank).

$125 first timer package child (learner area pass, rentals, full day first timer group lesson)‍

Rental equipment must be returned to the same location you collected it from.
